Packing:

Description:

XUET AP is the combination of Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol (acetaminophen) 325 mg is often used for the treatment of pain and inflammation. This combination combines the benefits of both drugs to address a wide range of conditions, including mild to moderate pain from conditions like:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Post-surgical pain

Here’s how each component works:

  • Aceclofenac (100 mg): As an NSAID, it helps reduce inflammation, pain, and swelling by inhibiting certain enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
  • Paracetamol (325 mg): It works primarily as an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). Paracetamol is effective at relieving pain and is less likely to cause gastrointestinal side effects compared to other pain relievers, like NSAIDs.

Benefits of the Combination:

  • Enhanced pain relief: The combination offers both anti-inflammatory action (from aceclofenac) and pain relief (from paracetamol), making it effective for conditions where both inflammation and pain are present.
  • Lower doses: Each drug is typically given in lower doses in this combination, reducing the risk of side effects compared to taking larger doses of either drug alone.

Precautions:

  • Stomach issues: Since aceclofenac is an NSAID, it can cause gastrointestinal irritation, ulcers, or bleeding, especially with prolonged use.
  • Liver and kidney: Both aceclofenac and paracetamol can affect liver and kidney function. It’s important to avoid excessive use of paracetamol, as it can lead to liver damage in high doses.
  • Allergic reactions: As with any medication, there’s a potential for allergic reactions, though rare.

  • Take it with food to avoid getting an upset stomach.
  • It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking XUET AP Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage.
  • It’s essential to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed the recommended daily dose, particularly of paracetamol, as high doses can be toxic to the liver.
